Players are waiting for the Mage Tower in WoW. It should actually be permanently active – but it is not. What is going wrong?
With the server maintenance (June 27, 2018), a lot has changed in World of Warcraft. A new quest line is active, which allows you to boost your weapon directly to level 126. At the same time, the Mage Tower should now be permanently active – but it is not on European realms. What is going on?
Inactive Mage Tower – farm again? Fans suspect that the maintenance did not actually set the Mage Tower to “permanently active”, but merely ensured that the tower is no longer destroyed. This would mean that players have to rebuild the tower once again before it is permanently active until Patch 8.0 is released. This would put players on EU servers at a significant disadvantage and give them fewer days to use the tower.
What do you need the Mage Tower for? Only when the Mage Tower is active at the Broken Isles can players earn their special weapon skin for different specializations. Only then is the NPC present who starts the quest and grants access to the corresponding scenario.
Build faster with war supplies. If you want to actively help unlock the Mage Tower as quickly as possible, you should go to the mission table at the Broken Isles and donate your war supplies to the Legion judges for the Mage Tower. The war supplies can be obtained from world quests at the Broken Isles.
Blizzard has remained silent on this issue so far. It is unclear whether players would have to completely rebuild the Mage Tower again, which would take another 2-3 days, or whether Blizzard will later “flip a switch” and simply activate the tower.
