The next raid of World of Warcraft has a release date. We reveal when it goes into the Sanctum of Domination in Patch 9.1.
Even thoughPatch 9.1 of WoW: Shadowlands has a lot of new content, many players are especially looking forward to one thing: the new raid Sanctum of Domination. However, the raid will not be available immediately at the start of the patch on June 30. We will tell you when the raid opens its doors in all difficulties and what you can look forward to.
When does the Sanctum of Domination open? This varies depending on the difficulty level. The following dates should be kept in mind:
- July 7: the “normal” and “heroic” difficulty levels open
- July 14: the “mythic” difficulty level opens, as well as LFR Wing 1
- July 28: LFR Wing 2 opens
- August 11: LFR Wing 3 opens
- August 25: LFR Wing 4 opens
Anyone who wants to see the last boss only in LFR will have to wait until the end of August.
What bosses are there? There are a total of 10 bosses waiting in the Sanctum of Domination and some of them are well-known names that long-time Warcraft fans may already know. The following bosses are present:
- The Tarragrue – The monster that has executed failing players in Torghast so far.
- The Eye of the Jailer – The annoying eye that throws you out of the Maw every day.
- The Nine – The nine Val’kyr of Sylvanas, including those already deceased.
- Remnant of Ner’zhul – What is left of the first Lich King after years of torture.
- Soulrender Dormazain – One of the most brutal servants of the Jailer who has broken every soul so far.
- Torment Smith Raznal – This is the guy who built all the traps in Torghast, where you’ve probably died a few times.
- First Guardian – A mysterious guardian who watches over the “Cipher” that contains knowledge about the mysterious creators.
- Fate Scribe Roh-Kalo – A fate scribe. Enslaved by the Jailer, he is now trying to rewrite the fate of the Shadowlands.
- Kel’Thuzad – The lich-to-be fights once again against the mortal heroes of Azeroth to kill them – this time for real. It will surely work.
- Sylvanas Windrunner – The final fight against the banshee queen, while the Jailer implements his master plan. How will this end?
Is there particularly cool loot? Yes, quite a bit. The raid has some very special items with special effects that different classes are keen on. Two of them can be found with Sylvanas Windrunner, the final fight in the Sanctum of Domination:
- Hunters can get the legendary bow Rae’shalare that grants a new cool ability.
- Rogues also get a special dagger that deals more damage as the enemy’s HP decreases.
In addition, there are several other weapons from different bosses that also have unique effects but often forgo secondary stats.
Are you excited about the new raid? Or are you more interested in other content from the patch?
