Even before the release of the Vulpera in World of Warcraft (WoW) , Blizzard has now replaced one of their racial abilities. It seems that every Vulpera will be the best choice for bank characters.
What are the Vulpera? The upcoming Patch 8.3 “Visions of N’Zoth” unlocks among other things the new allied race Vulpera for the Horde. These are fox-like humanoids that players have already encountered in the area of Vol’dun.
What can the new racial ability do? In the data mining of a new version of Patch 8.3 on the test servers, Wowhead discovered that the developers replaced a racial ability of the Vulpera.
The new ability is called Alpaca Saddlebags. This is a passive ability that increases the size of the backpack by a whopping 8 slots.
So anyone playing this allied race has an additional 8 slots in the standard bag without needing to purchase anything extra. Provided this change remains in place. Because Patch 8.3 is not yet live. Currently, a release of Patch 8.3 is expected in January 2020.
Which ability was replaced? According to Wowhead, the “Vulpera Survival Kit” was replaced. This gave Vulpera the chance to loot an additional loot bag from humanoids.
Will Vulpera become a must-have for bank characters?
If this new racial ability is really adopted in the game and becomes a staple for the Vulpera, it would please some players. At least that’s the many positive reactions on social media.
On Reddit , players write “Wow, this is really tempting” and “I can’t even remember the last time I didn’t have enough bag space. Still, I absolutely want this [feature]”.
This ability gets interesting: Players recognize the advantage of having much more space for loot during the leveling phase. Even in the endgame, one could carry more stuff. This would make a significant difference especially for bank characters. So characters in WoW that you create only to store items or to operate the auction house.
Because they are always carrying stuff around. More space in the inventory is just what they need.
On Twitter, KelzamGaming writes “and every bank character will then become a Vulpera” and receives several “likes” for it.
What else has been found? The new “Alpaca Saddlebag” is a bag with 36 slots. This has also been found in the code of the patch. It is still unclear how one can unlock this. It could possibly be a reward for completing the intro scenario. But that is unclear.
