Role players in World of Warcraft enjoy customization options. One of the best items is now in the game – but you need to hurry.
Those who indulge in role-playing in World of Warcraft typically settle for relatively little. It just takes many character customization options, beautiful locations, and now and then a toy or two to tweak the environment a bit – like those wonderful tents.
During the “Love is in the Air” event, there is now a toy that every RP fan should have in their collection.
What kind of toy is it? It is the Date Simulation Modulator – a rather clunky translation of “Date Simulation Modulator”. This is one of the new rewards you can unlock from the vendor at the “Love is in the Air” festival in 2024. The corresponding vendors can be found in front of Stormwind (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde). Several NPCs, quests, and portals will lead you to this location.
The Date Simulation Modulator costs 100 “Tokens of Love” – the currency of the event.
What can the toy do? The toy is capable of changing the weather and sky (the so-called “skybox”) for all members of your group or raid.
This is especially interesting for role players who want to enact events and occurrences at a specific time of day or weather condition.
The possible settings of the Date Simulation Modulator are all tied to typical romantic events. The options include:
- Peaceful Day
- Romantic Sunset
- Fireflies at Midnight
- Downpour
Especially “Fireflies at Midnight” is likely to become a favorite for playing out long nights by the campfire.
Especially cool: If you already own the “Environment Emulator”, then the new toy will simply be integrated into this one. Once you have unlocked it, you can also use the “Environment Emulator” and apply the new settings from the “Date Simulation Modulator” there.
How do you get the toy? If you have already spent your tokens on transmog or other rewards this year, it might be worth completing the entire quest line again with a second character. This takes about 30 minutes (of which most is travel time) and nets you over 100 Tokens of Love so that you can buy the toy right away.
Alternatively, you can, of course, also complete the daily tasks every day to slowly earn the necessary badges.
However, keep in mind that the event lasts only until February 18 – after that, the chance for this year is gone and you may regret it until next year.
You can also get a special customization for your dragon only for a few more days.
