A new mount in World of Warcraft is live – and quite stylish. Some of you may simply receive it.
Every few months, there is a new mount in the in-game shop of World of Warcraft. While this practice is still met with confusion by some fans even after years, there are also supporters who welcome more mounts and purchasable options.
The latest of these mounts, the “Promise Tree Dragon” falls into this category. And many of you are likely to receive it for free.
What kind of mount is this? The “Promise Tree Dragon” clearly lives up to its name. This dragon, which is unlocked for dynamic flight (“dragon riding”), resembles a living tree more than a typical dragon. Instead of being scaly, its entire body is covered in bark and leaves. The horns consist of branches with small treetops – visually fitting for the Emerald Dream.
How do you get the mount? To obtain the “Promise Tree Dragon,” you must have an active subscription for World of Warcraft – either the 6 or 12-month variant. If that is the case, then the mount will be credited to you for free. You can then use it to fly around the Dragon Isles. With the next patch (10.2.5), the mount will also be usable in most old areas.
Alternatively, you can simply buy the “Promise Tree Dragon” in the in-game shop for real money. However, it will cost a hefty €25 – just as expensive as many other mounts. Particularly wealthy heroes can of course go through the detour of WoW tokens to exchange gold for Battle.net currency and thus obtain the mount.
What should I do if the mount is not there yet? If you already have a subscription of 6 or 12 months and the dragon is not yet in your collection, just wait a little. These mounts are often unlocked in waves. If you meet the requirements and do not own the Tree Dragon yet, be patient – usually, the mount should be automatically unlocked within the next few days.
What do you think of this mount? Do you like it? Will you take out a long-term subscription for it?
