The latest cinematic for WoW: Shadowlands is finally here. At BlizzCon 2021, it was shown how Anduin came to his new form.
BlizzConline has started and has begun announcing the updates for games from the Blizzard universe. Although there was already a massive leak about World of Warcraft, many details about the transformation of Anduin Wrynn were still missing. Now the first trailer for Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination has been released and fills this knowledge gap. Watch the cinematic here:
What can be seen in the video? The cinematic shows Anduin, who has apparently been released. The Kyrians, along with the Archon, discuss the fate of the Shadowlands.
Anduin approaches the Kyrians and asks them for a key – but then the darkness within Anduin emerges. His soul is bound to the Jailor, he calls his Blade of Mourning and attacks the Archon.
The Archon is wounded by the Blade of Mourning, presumably killed. Anduin pulls a “key” from her soul and returns to his new master, Sylvanas and the Jailor.
What else is coming in the patch? Besides the story surrounding Anduin, there is plenty more in Patch 9.1 “Chains of Domination”. So far confirmed are:
- New zone “Korthia” – The ruins of the city of knowledge that the Jailor has brought into the Maw
- New raid “Sanctum of Domination” with 10 bosses, including an encounter with Sylvanas
- Flying will be unlocked in the Shadowlands
- New dungeon season with a new affix that fits the Jailor
