Patch 7.2 for World of Warcraft makes “Mythic+” dungeons even harder. New, nasty affixes are waiting!
The next major update for World of Warcraft, Patch 7.2 “The Tomb of Sargeras” is currently on the test server. In addition to a new raid and dungeon, new zones and quests, there are also plenty of changes to the existing content. For instance, the difficulty (and thus the reward) of all dungeons is being increased.
For fans of “Mythic+” dungeons, there are some additional changes. New affixes will challenge players, giving the instances new difficulties. Affixes occur at levels 4, 7, and 10, providing enemies with new advantages or imposing disadvantages on players.
The following new affixes have been found so far in the game data:
- Bursting – Trash mobs in the instance explode upon death, causing all players to lose 10% of their maximum health over 4 seconds. This effect is stackable.
- Explosive Orb – While players are in combat, a ball of demonic energy is summoned at regular intervals. This ball explodes if not dealt with quickly.
- Grievous – When players fall below 90% of their health, they become afflicted with “Grievous wound” automatically. They take moderate damage every few seconds until they are fully healed.
- Quaking – At regular intervals, players explode, causing damage to all other players in the vicinity.
- Relentless – Trash mobs occasionally gain immunity to all control effects.
The affixes are currently still being tested. Whether they will actually make it into the live version of the game in this form remains to be seen.
