Only a few days after the launch of the latest WoW raid, the final boss has already been nerfed. Sylvanas has simply killed too many players.
Just a week ago, the “Sanctum of Domination,” the latest raid in World of Warcraft became available on normal and heroic difficulty. However, there are already the first nerfs, as large raid groups found it too difficult. The current final boss of WoW is now a bit easier.
What has changed? Mainly, the radius of some abilities has been adjusted, so it no longer takes up so much area. Additionally, players now need to deal slightly less damage to defeat Sylvanas. The changes in detail are:
- The total amount of damage that players must deal to Sylvanas Windrunner has been reduced by nearly 5% on normal and heroic difficulty.
- Sylvanas now transitions from Phase 1 to Phase 2 at 84% health on normal and heroic difficulty.
- The radius of “Veil of Darkness” has been reduced in Phase 3 of the fight.
- The radius of “Banshee Wail” has been reduced.
What does this mean? The fight against Sylvanas is likely to be a bit easier, especially with larger raid groups now. Previously, they had massive space issues, as it was virtually impossible to position 20 or more players effectively and avoid negative effects. It was therefore advisable to venture out with a smaller raid group.
However, the fundamental difficulty of the fight has changed little. It has merely ensured more equal opportunities between small and larger raid groups.
Does this also count for mythic? No. The mythic mode only opened its doors today, on July 17 (in America already yesterday). The difficulty of Sylvanas remains untouched for now. However, since the mythic fight was not fully available on the PTR, it is quite possible that some adjustments will still be made there before the first gold can defeat the Banshee Queen.
