Ten bosses will be significantly weakened in the upcoming Patch 9.1.5 of World of Warcraft. This will make farming cool sets much more enjoyable.
Just yesterday, we reported that some bosses in World of Warcraft will be significantly weakened. This was about certain enemies from the old “Legion” content, which is still too difficult to solo for some classes. Patch 9.1.5 is set to remedy this. Now Blizzard has revealed which encounters are going to be easier – and it’s exactly all the ones that have caused difficulties so far.
What is the problem? Although the “Legion” expansion is now several years old, many of the raids can still not be completed solo – or at least not with all classes. This is due to many encounters having mechanics that overwhelm individual players. Sometimes it’s a “one-hit mechanic” that needs to be absorbed by multiple players, other times it’s the necessity to be in multiple places at once.
Additionally, players are still relatively weaker due to the “level squish,” the removal of artifact weapons, and other bonuses, compared to what they would be after 2 additional expansions.
Blizzard is addressing this and is making the most annoying encounters significantly easier.
Which encounters will be easier? In the preliminary patch notes, Blizzard has now explained which encounters the “difficulty in solo combat” has been reduced. The following boss fights in Legion are expected to be drastically easier with Patch 9.1.5:
- Antorus, the Burning Throne
- Antoran High Command
- Eonar, the Lifebinder
- Varimathras
- Circle of Shivarra
- Aggramar
- Tomb of Sargeras
- The Desolate Host
- Fallen Avatar
- Kil’jaeden
- The Nighthold
- Gul’dan
- The Trial of Valor
- Helya
What are the implications? Even though we do not yet know all the adjustments in detail, the changes are likely aimed at ensuring that boss fights can be managed solo and particularly tedious mechanics become irrelevant. Especially with Kil’jaeden, it could be difficult for many classes, as the knockback – similar to Aggramar – is hard to master.
With Patch 9.1.5, there are many cool T-sets coming for players who want to collect them. When you’re already stopping by the Mage Tower in that patch, you can also farm the old raids…
Are you looking forward to being able to farm the old T-sets in Patch 9.1.5? Or do you have no desire to hang out in the Legion raids?
