For weeks and months, alchemists in World of Warcraft have been loudly complaining in the official forum and on Reddit. The reason is that they could not get a certain recipe that is essential for the efficient use of the profession.
It is about the recipe: Elixir of Extended Power (Rank 3). The Elixir of Extended Power is considered a current endgame potion, as it can increase all stats by a staggering 2500 points for 1 minute. Usually, it is also regarded as a “pre-pot,” which is consumed before the fight so that a second one can still be used during combat.
Nazak the Horrible – Super Rare World Boss Now Active!
The recipe is only dropped by a very special enemy on the Broken Isles. This enemy is precisely a world boss – they change only once a week: Nazak the Horrible.
You can find Nazak in the ruins of Falanaar in Suramar. He is active for one week, until Tuesday, November 7, 2017. When he will appear again next is uncertain. If he takes so long again, it could be during the next expansion of World of Warcraft.
Last time Nazak was active was almost 9 months ago, shortly after the introduction of the Elixir of Extended Power. Since then, the world boss has not appeared again, which has meant that alchemists could not fully develop their potential from second characters or newcomers.
For only with the 3rd rank of the recipe is there a chance to produce multiple units of the potion for free during crafting. These can then be sold very profitably or donated to their own guild.
However, those who want to make a big profit now and sell the recipe at the auction house are out of luck: Only alchemists can obtain the recipe, and it is soulbound upon acquisition.
