True raid professionals in WoW type all spells manually instead of using key bindings. You don’t believe it? Check it out here!
A few days ago, a typical meme was circulating on Reddit about World of Warcraft. The “Galaxy Brain” meme ironically depicts how “mortal beings” make mistakes and superior individuals come up with “better” solutions. This was applied to the use of abilities in WoW and looked like this:
In short: Those who use key bindings are beginners. Advanced players click on spells, professionals click on the skills in the spellbook, and true experts type every ability manually with the “/cast” command – this is, of course, meant ironically.
All spells via /cast command in the mythic boss fight
The warlock Luedot has taken this to heart and implemented the motto “Don’t let your memes be dreams” in practice. During the mythic fight against the worldbreaker of Garothi, he executed most spells via the /Cast command.
This tactic is not really superior (who would have thought) – the DPS suffers quite a bit, but that was not the point either. Luedot probably just wanted to prove that it is indeed possible to play this way. Hats off for the attempt!
If you look closely, you can see that one or the other spell is still activated with a key press. However, with mythic raiders, the keys are probably so firmly embedded in memory that Luedot doesn’t even notice this. We’ll turn a blind eye and consider this challenge fulfilled!
What do you think of this action? A cool thing or just silly?
Also curious but not funny is this news: A streamer is kicked out by his mother on live camera.
