The new addon intends to make the “Mythic+” dungeons in WoW more challenging. Even at the lowest level, there are two affixes!
Dungeons of the “Mythic+” difficulty are among the most demanding tasks that players can currently tackle in World of Warcraft. Depending on the gear and skill of the group, the difficulty can be adjusted.
Currently, the transition from a “normal mythic” dungeon to a “Mythic+2” is hardly noticeable – the enemies only have 10% more HP and deal 10% more damage. Even a moderately geared group barely notices it. Whether a boss falls in 20 or 22 seconds makes no significant difference.
Tyrannical and Fortified will become standard affixes
Therefore, in Battle for Azeroth, two affixes will be fundamentally changed. The modifiers Tyrannical (40% more health and 15% more damage for bosses) and Fortified (non-bosses have 20% more health and 30% more damage) will already be active at the lowest level, starting at “Mythic +2” – at least one of them.
In compensation, new affixes for level 10 will be designed, which will make life hell for players instead.
The developers hope that this will make the transition from “Mythic” to “Mythic+” a slightly greater hurdle. The differences between the various “+” dungeons will thus become smaller and “Mythic+10” will not represent such a strong barrier as it did in the early days of Legion. Of course, this does not change the fundamental difficulty, only the increase within the “Mythic+” dungeons is more gradual.
