The current raid in World of Warcraft is just too hard. Blizzard is making adjustments – and is making 4 bosses significantly easier.
Meanwhile, the final raid of Shadowlands, the Mausoleum of the First, has been accessible for a few weeks. The race for the “World First Kill” ended with Echo as the winner, but many players are still struggling with the new raid on lower difficulty levels. Blizzard is therefore coming up with new nerfs and adjustments that will further weaken some of the tougher bosses.
What changes are being made? Mainly in heroic and mythic mode, Blizzard is making some adjustments that should make it easier for raid players to progress. These include:
- Skolex
- Skolex’s health points have been reduced by almost 6% in heroic and mythic mode.
- Dausegne
- Dausegne’s health points have been reduced by almost 6% in heroic mode.
- The weakening effect of Disintegration Ray has been reduced to 200% in normal and LFR mode.
- Lords of Terror
- Swarm of Darkness and Swarm of Decay now increase damage taken from all abilities by 100%, not just from area attacks.
- Rygelon
- Rygelon’s health points have been reduced by 5% in heroic mode.
- The damage of Stellar Decay has been reduced by 20% in heroic mode.
- The health points of Unstable Quasar have been reduced by 33% on heroic difficulty.
- The Jailer
- A bug has been fixed that caused Redirected Lifebloom to display the incorrect amount of healing. It now heals correctly by 2% per tick.
Is the raid really “easy” now? No. The Mausoleum of the First is still considered one of the hardest raids that World of Warcraft has to offer – as evidenced by the very demanding “World First Race,” where the professional guilds were completely exhausted at the end. Even on normal and heroic difficulty, the raid already has a fairly high level of challenge.
When will the changes go live? This will happen with the next maintenance work, so on the morning of March 30, 2022. After that, you can venture into the raid and experience the new adjustments.
