A detail from Dragonflight has been leaked and is causing excitement. It seems that the inventory of characters in World of Warcraft will increase.
Some initial screenshots, apparently from an early alpha version of Dragonflight, are currently circulating in the forums and on the World of Warcraft subreddit. While many are excited that the beta may begin soon, others have discovered another detail: The inventory will likely be larger in Dragonflight.
What was discovered? Screenshots that allegedly come from an early internal test of Dragonflight reveal a small detail that is causing a stir. The screenshots show that characters will not only have 4 slots for bags, but 5 – one more than before.
This would mean that characters in Dragonflight can carry 5 additional bags alongside the normal backpack, adding around 30 inventory slots. This should please nearly all players who have struggled with full bags until now.
Has inventory been a problem so far? That seems to be a clear case of “it depends on who you ask.” For many players, the current inventory is completely sufficient. However, for those who like to carry many toy-like items, lots of buff food, or even different armor sets for multiple roles, they often reach the limits of the inventory.
It’s also not helpful that newer areas in WoW clutter the inventory with items that are later exchanged for currencies. Players often run around with dozens of Anima tokens or Korthia research – in addition to the usual loot that enemies drop.
Please note that this is only information from allegedly leaked screenshots. Whether the inventory will actually be expanded by one bag slot can probably only be confirmed with more reliable information from alpha or beta testing.
Would you be happy about a larger inventory? Or have you never had too little space in your bags and don’t need it?
