In WoW Midnight you are sent on the quest “The Path of the Sunwalker” to travel through a portal to Hammerfall. However, many users are currently reporting a bug where the portal does not appear. Here we will show you how to work around the bug.
How can I bypass the bug? For the quest “The Path of the Sunwalker”, Faol must open a portal to Hammerfall for you, but he is not willing to do so – the quest seems to be bugged. However, there is a workaround to possibly bypass the problem. On Reddit, CreativeDisarrayInc mentions the following as a solution:
- Go to Dornogal
- Take the Arathi portal next to Faerin (located near the flight master)
- If the portal is not active, you need to accept his quest
- Fly to the approximate coordinates of 67.07 / 40.39 and land
- The location will then be renamed from Hammerfall to Arathi Highlands
- Now run the path towards Hammerfall to continue the quest
With this trick, the quest should still be able to continue, even if the bug still exists. After all, the player with the problem, triforce711, reports that he was able to continue the story.
What should I do? The problem seems to still exist. In this case, you should report the bug using the reporting function in World of Warcraft so that Blizzard can fix the problem quickly. Some other players have tried the classic workarounds like:
- relogging the character
- switching to a different expansion
- dropping the quest and picking it up again
