In World of Warcraft obtaining gear has become easier. You now receive more loot in higher-level Mythic+ dungeons due to a change.
Undocumented change brings more loot: Blizzard has implemented an undocumented patch on the live servers that increases loot in Mythic+ dungeons. With this change, you will receive more loot upon completing dungeons of level +11 or higher.
How to get more loot from Mythic+
The chance keeps increasing: The hotfix introduced a new mechanic for loot in Mythic+ dungeons for BfA. The more challenging the dungeon you complete, the more loot you will receive:
- Each level above +10 increases the chance for an additional piece of loot by 40%.
- A dungeon of level +13 guarantees another piece of loot, while +15 even offers two additional pieces.
- The extra loot stacks with bonus loot that you receive for completing the dungeon within the time.
If you complete a level 15 dungeon within the time, you can expect a total of five loot pieces (two for the dungeon, two from the new mechanic, and one for the time).
Keep in mind that the number reflects the possible loot for the group, not for each player. Therefore, the group receives a total of five pieces, not individually.
Get to higher keystones faster: According to wowhead, you currently have the possibility to receive a higher keystone than the one you got from your weekly chest. You just need to discard your current keystone before starting a dungeon.
If you complete a Mythic+ dungeon without a keystone in your possession, you will receive a new keystone in the loot chest. This keystone will be one level below the current dungeon or your weekly keystone, depending on which is higher.
Which dungeon you receive is random. However, this way you can easily obtain higher keystones for the entire group. This is especially useful for fixed Mythic+ groups.
It is unclear whether this change is intentional or not. In WoW: Legion, keystones could not be deleted. Therefore, it may be fixed when the next Mythic+ season starts.
