How well do you know the world of Azeroth? Test your knowledge in “Where in Warcraft”, a WoW-version of Geoguessr.
The game developer Kruithne took Geoguessr as a model and created a version for the world of WoW. It is called “Where in Warcraft” and tests how well you recognize places in WoW based on a screenshot.
How does the game work? You see an image, can look around a bit with the mouse, and then have to guess where the place is located on the map. After that, you see the resolution and are shown how far your suggestion is from the actual location. If you hit a specific red circle, you are correct and earn points.
You have three lives and lose one each time you are too far from the correct location. So the game might already be over after three rounds.
At the beginning, you can also choose whether you want to categorize images from the Retail or Classic version.
The original works the same way, only with real places.
You can play directly in the browser on Kruithne’s website.
Do you play against each other? Yes! You can view the 25 players with the most points via the “Leaderboard” button. Next to the name and score, you can also see how many percent they got correct.
The first place actually has 100% correct answers, while the lower places in the top 25 range from 95-98%. So you need to be well acquainted for your name to appear on the leaderboard.
Have you tried “Where in Warcraft” yet? How many correct answers did you have? Did you already know Geoguessr before? Which version do you like best – the real one or the one with images from Azeroth? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
