The pre-sale of Battle for Azeroth causes the price of the WoW Token to explode. It has never been this expensive!
Those who do not want to pay for their subscription in real money in World of Warcraft and invest a lot of time in the game will probably reach for the WoW Token. The Token can be purchased in the WoW auction house and then exchanged for one month of game time or credit for Battle.net.
The credit can then be used for all purchases in the Battle.net shop – such as in-game mounts, pets, or even entire games like Destiny 2 or Overwatch. Since the day before yesterday, the next expansion of WoW, Battle for Azeroth, has been available, and this has had a drastic impact on the price of the WoW Token.
In the past weeks, the price of the Token fluctuated around 300,000 gold pieces, with small variations. But directly with the unlocking of Battle for Azeroth in the Blizzard shop, the Token quickly became more expensive.
Most expensive WoW Tokens of all time
Within 12 hours, the WoW Token climbed from 300,000 gold to 400,000 gold pieces, marking an astonishing increase of 33%.
With costs of 406,037 gold, the WoW Token reached its highest point since its introduction.
It is also interesting that the WoW Token did not experience such an increase in the American market. There, the price only rose by about 20% from 200,000 to 240,000 gold.
As suddenly as the cost explosion began, it was also over again. Over the course of another 8 hours, the Token fell back to 300,000 gold pieces.
The price of the WoW Token depends on supply and demand. That is why there are different prices in the various gaming regions.
