As of today, January 6, 2021, the Twisted Corridors in Torghast are accessible. Many players in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands cannot enjoy them, as they keep getting disconnected. An employee from Blizzard has already forwarded the issues.
What is the problem? With the opening of the Twisted Corridors, many players repeatedly lose connection to the new dungeon Torghast. Reports about the issue are currently increasing both in the game and in the forums (4:50 PM).
With the message “You have been removed from the group,” they find themselves back at the entrance of the tower after a loading screen. The error occurs even for players who are not in a group, as Torghast can also be tackled solo.
Apparently, all wings of Torghast are affected, not just the Twisted Corridors. We currently cannot say exactly what the issue is. The bug doesn’t seem to affect all players; some can play normally.
This is what Blizzard says: In the official forums, the German Community Manager Zaytoru has already responded that the problem has been reported and forwarded (via WoW forums). The cause is supposed to be found and resolved as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, there is still no information on the Torghast issues on Blizzard’s official customer service Twitter channel.
A new wing and Torghast would be important for many players
Why is Torghast important? In Torghast, players need to complete their weekly quest to free important characters from the story who are trapped there. A new cutscene with Sylvanas and Anduin also takes place there.
Twinks can complete several quests in a row – just not currently, which prevents them from progressing in the story. Additionally, in Torghast, there is Soul Ash, which you need to craft legendary items.
In the new wing, the Twisted Corridors, there is also currently a new mount that can be used even in The Maw. That too is currently unreachable for affected players.
This is the new wing: The Twisted Corridors are what remains of the originally “endless” mode of Torghast. Here you must complete three levels of other wings in a row. So a total of 18 levels, instead of just six in the other wings.
The Corridors do not reward you with Soul Ash like the other wings but only with cosmetics, mounts, and similar items. They are somewhat like the “prestige mode” of Torghast and are meant to show how well you handle the dungeon.
When Torghast will function again, we cannot say. If the problem is not larger, it should only take a few hours. Typically, Blizzard resolves connection bugs quite quickly.
In the meantime, you can pass the waiting time by getting yourself a rare mount. The Depth dweller is available again, but only for a short time.
