Patch 8.3 of WoW unfortunately also comes with bugs. Some are quite severe, which is why one should especially avoid the PvP Brawl.
The new Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth has only been live in World of Warcraft for a few hours and the first reports of bugs are already coming in. Especially the current PvP brawl is causing problems, but the revised auction house is also currently causing some difficulties. Lastly, the phasing is causing stress as well.
What are the biggest issues? The most annoying are the problems with the current PvP brawl, the “Wandering Islands”. These are actually island expeditions in PvP mode, but 10 against 10. There are many different bugs that can spoil the fun, especially the fact that there is no honor or that characters become trapped in the instance when the match ends. It is better to wait until these bugs are fixed.
But also in the open world, annoying incidents can occur. It may happen that your character gets put into another instance (“Shard”) even though they are currently in combat. Then the corresponding progress will logically be reset.

The known bugs from Patch 8.3 in detail
Here is a list of the known bugs and issues so far.
Auction House
- It is possible for the auction house to send letters containing more items than are displayed to the player.
Dungeons
- Brewery Stormbrew
- Ook-Ook dies too quickly, preventing players from completing the achievement “You won’t believe it.”.
Items
- Some older items do not trigger their effects correctly.
- Transmogrifying weapons into the grips of the primal father is not user-friendly.
Professions
- Several old recipes are categorized incorrectly.
Wandering Islands (PvP Brawl)
- Characters who sign up individually are not added to the instance group.
- Sometimes an error message appears when trying to join a match.
- Players receive no honor for participation, winning, or losing.
- When the match ends, players cannot leave the instance.
- The feature uses the dungeon finder queue.
World
- It is possible for players to be moved to a new instance of the world while they are in combat, which can lead to a reset of progress.
It will likely only be a matter of a few hours or days until Blizzard pushes a hotfix.
