With a little trick, you can level up in WoW: Shadowlands without really looking. A Reddit user has figured this out.
Slowly but surely, most players have seen all the content of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. However, the next patch is still a long way off, as Update 9.1 Chains of Domination is likely to take several months. Many would like to level a second or third character, but that takes time and can be tedious.
However, with a simple method, you can level up “on the side”. Here, Pet Battles are really useful.
How does it work? The Reddit user Pochmannn has released a small video in which he shows a rather simple yet effective leveling method that requires hardly any attention. It’s about the pet battle against Nightfang in Ardenweald. The pet battle takes place at coordinates 40 / 64. A single fight only takes about 20 to 25 seconds and ends extremely quickly.
The fight goes best with an “Iron Starlette”. The pet is available in the Broken Isles, but is also often available at the auction house. Make sure your Starlette has a high attack value so that the combo works. In the fight, you use:
- Wind-Up (1)
- Charging (3)
- Wind-Up (1)
This should defeat Nightfang with a single attack. Heal your pet with a bandage afterwards and start the fight again.
Since Nightfang is an elite pet, it can be fought an unlimited number of times.
How much XP do you gain? The exact XP gain per hour varies. It depends on the character’s level and ranges between 185,000 and 210,000 experience points per hour.
Leveling from level 50 to 60 takes approximately 12 hours with this method.
Is the method particularly fast? No, it is by no means the fastest leveling method, but it requires the least effort and is very consistent. You don’t have to actively engage in battles, take quests, or even travel through the world. You can spend the entire duration from level 50 to 60 here, as long as you can provide enough pet bandages.
Who is it worth it for? It is worthwhile for anyone who wants to level their character to level 60 but doesn’t want to invest much energy into it. Since this method is very straightforward and simple, it is suitable for watching a series while casually leveling the character on a second screen.
If you don’t feel like “real” leveling and prefer to be entertained by a series or movies while still wanting characters at level 60, this method might suit you.
