A new world boss in WoW is active from today, the dragon Nithogg. However, calling it “new” might be a bit of an overstatement.
Since this morning (30.11.2016), a new world boss is active in World of Warcraft. Those who have reached level 110 right at the start of the expansion will now encounter an old acquaintance. Nithogg, the great storm dragon, has landed again and this time he is not only hungry for owl bears but also for plenty of players.
Anyone looking for a quick way to get some tasty items with a minimum item level of 860 should fly to Stormheim during the week and join a group of dragon hunters. For priests and paladins, stylish artifact relics of the “Holy” category may drop, with which one can upgrade different weapons a bit.
Before visiting, remember to pick up the weekly seals of the Devastated Fate from Archmage Lan’dalock in Dalaran, across from the Violet Citadel, to get a bonus roll on loot distribution – giving you a second chance at a cool item.
The appearance of Nithogg is somewhat surprising, as the rotation of world bosses has not yet been completed. Actually, all existing bosses should rotate completely before familiar ones reappear – there was already an error with J’im back then. Perhaps Blizzard just wanted to give the warriors a second chance to grab their hidden artifact skin.
Warriors should join a group and beat up the dragon, as Nithogg drops a skull needed for the hidden artifact weapon skins of the Fury weapon.
