Everyone knows them, some hate them: Addons. No, not WoW Legion, the little ones: Recount, Master Plan, Handynotes. Small downloadable helpers in the daily life of a WoW player. Which of these already work on the test realm?
It should be mentioned beforehand that you cannot simply test it by copying your addons from one folder to another. There have been numerous API changes, so a new version is absolutely necessary.
Am I allowed to use addons?
For the live servers, the question does not arise. There would be none if Blizzard did not allow them. However, you might have such thoughts on the test server. After all, you are supposed to find bugs. If you have previously installed faulty programs, you cannot clearly attribute a potential crash anymore. Thus, the assumption that addons are not tolerated on the test realm is justified.
Especially at the beginning of the alpha phase, Blizzard also followed this path. However, more and more features are now being released, so the little helpers are now usable. Some functions may still be locked.

An overview of all addons would exceed the scope. Therefore, the listing is limited to some important ones. If possible, you should take a direct alpha or developer version, such as with DBM.

Where do I find the addons?
