With the 7.1 patch of World of Warcraft, the story of Suramar continues. We will reveal what awaits you in the new missions. While not all players of World of Warcraft agree on how to gain reputation with the Nightborne of Suramar, most are quite enthusiastic about the questline itself.
The Finale in Suramar
The story about the Nightfallen is well thought out and has a quite successful tension curve – without being fully resolved. Currently, the questline ends after the last step that can be completed in the raid instance “Emerald Nightmare.” However, with patch 7.1, the story continues and tells the final chapters of the plot. We give you a little insight into what is yet to come.
But beware! This contains spoilers.
The Arc’andor has developed splendidly. The magical tree is powered by the ley lines and has even returned the Nightfallen to their former form as Nightborne. Strengthened and rejuvenated, it is now time to take the field against Elisande to free Suramar from the grip of the demons and their current ruler. This is increasingly necessary, as more and more inhabitants are abducted by the demons and sacrificed for cruel rituals.
During the “great meeting” of the elf factions, the Nightfallen ask the other elves for help – both the Blood, Night, and High Elves. Under the respective leadership of Tyrande Whisperwind, Lady Liadrin, and Vereesa Windrunner, the peoples meet: Trust is scarce, but the goal creates a purpose alliance. Once all the forces are gathered, the attack begins – the Nightfallen and all allied elves storm the city. Gradually, the united forces advance and push Elisande’s troops back into the heart of the city – the Night Fortress.
At the very end of the questline is the opening of the raid “The Night Fortress.” As a reward for completing this long questline, there is a stylish mount that the folks from wowhead have already extracted from the game data.
Cortyn says: Currently, the entire questline can be played on the PTR. On the live servers, it will be released over 9 weeks, so there will be a handful of quests to complete each week. So far, it looks like a worthy conclusion for one of the best areas that World of Warcraft has ever had. Although there are still some loose ends, such as the fate of certain NPCs, this could be addressed in a later patch.
