In the latest WoW patch 7.1, players can exchange Blood of Sargeras for useful resources and save – or make – a lot of gold. We’ll tell you where to find the Blood Vendor and what he has to offer.
Alongside all the major changes introduced in patch 7.1 “Return to Karazhan”, some of the smaller adjustments have almost gone unnoticed. Especially players who have a lot of “Blood of Sargeras” can now potentially make a lot of money or at least save massive farming time for their professions. Those who wish can now exchange their Blood of Sargeras for various crafting materials in Dalaran. The respective vendor Illnea Bloodthorn is located at the corner next to the forge, in front of the bank on the Alliance side (see map).
After a small quest that is meant to draw your attention to this “Blood Vendor”, she sells almost all crafting materials that are currently relevant for Legion.
Only jewelcrafters still need to buy and prospect the individual ores, just as inscriptionists must purchase herbs to mill them.
Alchemists might want to hold on to some of their blood as they can craft the new “Potion of Extended Power”, which increases all stats by 2500 for one minute. The recipe drops from almost all enemies on the Broken Isles and should find its way into your inventory after just a few minutes of farming.
Cortyn says: With the new vendor, there is currently a true flood of goods on the market that will surely last for a few days. However, when the first wave subsides, the demand for materials may rise again. So one should weigh whether to exchange and sell or process all resources now or speculate to do so at a later time. Raiders, on the other hand, are happy as they will not have to buy potions for a while since all materials can be obtained through the blood.
