Patch 7.1 of WoW is just around the corner, but players have not yet discovered all the hidden things.
With World of Warcraft: Legion, the development team at Blizzard has managed to include a lot of hidden things in the game world that can only be discovered with great effort or a whole lot of luck. This includes things like alternative skins for artifact weapons or hidden mounts and world bosses.
However, the next content patch 7.1 “Return to Karazhan” is already on the horizon.
The senior game designer Jeremy Feasel, better known to many as Muffinus, tried to stir up the community a little on Twitter by announcing:
“I can’t believe that 7.1 is coming soon and no one has figured out that… heh. Never mind. Who’s excited for the weekend???”
There are a handful of weapon skins that have not yet been discovered. As such, the player base assumed that Muffinus was referring to exactly these. When asked by another user if there are “other hidden things besides skins that players should be looking for,” Muffinus replied:
“In 7.0? To be honest… yes.”
Moreover, the follow-up question, which became a bit more technical, continues to fuel the fans’ excitement.
“Is there any note regarding what is hidden? So we know where and when something will be discovered?”
Muffinus replied:
“I don’t want to spoil anything, but yes, almost everything about this has been mined by data miners.”
Followed by the very misleading instruction:
“It’s not in the ocean. The ocean is just a good thing to sigh wistfully about. You can stop staring at the ocean.”
Of course, such a statement leads to the exact opposite – and players will now scour the ocean for more secrets.
