We reveal when the first PvP season of WoW Legion ends, when the second begins, and what new features there are.
Since the end of August, players of World of Warcraft: Legion have had time to raise their honor level, earn various PvP talents and rewards, and pick up plenty of artifact power and a little gold along the way.
Start of the 2nd PvP Season in WoW: Legion
The first PvP season of Legion ends on December 14 at 07:00 AM. Exactly 2 hours later, at 09:00 AM on 14.12, the 2nd PvP season begins.
The most important new feature is that the current prestige maximum is increased from 4 to 8. Players can now fight through the 50 honor levels 4 more times to earn rewards in the form of mounts, artifact weapon skins, toys, and special pets – in addition to artifact power and gold.
With the start of the 2nd season, there are also better rewards for everyone who enjoys participating in rated battlegrounds. Depending on how well your performance (the rating) was in the previous week, there are rewards with a high item level for the various quests.
| Rating of the last week | Base item level |
| 0-1399 | 855 |
| 1400-1599 | 865 |
| 1600-1799 | 875 |
| 1800-1999 | 880 |
| 2000-2199 | 885 |
| 2200-2399 | 890* |
| 2400 | 900* |
*Item levels 890 and 900 will only be available with the opening of the raid “Night Hold”.
Fans have already speculated that with the new PvP season in WoW, Patch 7.1.5 will also start, but Blizzard quickly denied this. The start of the PvP season is independent of Patch 7.1.5 – this will appear “at some point” later.
Cortyn says: I have to say that I have as much fun in PvP with Legion as I haven’t in a long time. Especially since the increase in rewards, PvP has almost become my number one source of income when it comes to artifact power. Together with the daily PvP quests and a few battlegrounds, the artifact abilities unlock relatively quickly.
Did you actually know what PvP quests are like on an RP server? Quite strange!
