The BlizzCon revealed what is coming in WoW: Legion with Patch 7.2. The short answer: A lot.
Basically, no one was expecting major announcements for World of Warcraft at BlizzCon. After all, Legion has only been on the market for a few months and the hunger for fresh content is still satisfied thanks to 7.1 “Return to Karazhan”. But Blizzard is really ramping things up and is already showing its hand about what they have planned for Patch 7.2.
To summarize in one sentence: Patch 7.2 brings endless content.
Patch 7.2 takes players back to the Broken Shore and introduces the new faction “Armies of Legionfall”, which is working to breach the Tomb of Sargeras – the new raid from Patch 7.2. Here, numerous bosses must be defeated, including demons, naga, the Avatar of Sargeras (an ancient husk of the dark titan), as well as Kil’jaeden, the commander of the Burning Legion.
But that is by no means all. The patch is accompanied by a new 5-player dungeon, set in the “upper section” of the tomb, and will feature 4 bosses.
Flying and class-specific mounts in Patch 7.2
Blizzard actually intended to take more time before allowing players to fly on the Broken Isles, but with Patch 7.2, this dream will come true. The second (and last) part of the necessary achievement will then be added to the game, requiring a bit of reputation and corresponding progress in the new quests. But what would flying be without a cool mount? Each class will get an exclusive flying mount in 7.2.
But that doesn’t end the content! The class campaigns will continue, and all artifact weapons will receive new traits that can be unlocked. Oh – and each weapon will also get a new appearance. Especially guardian druids can look forward to a new form:
Here are a few “details” that are also expected to come with Patch 7.2:
- Artifact relics that improve up to 2 traits simultaneously
- New “challenges” for “Mythic+” dungeons
- Karazhan as a Mythic+/Hero dungeon (in 2 parts)
- changing PvP brawls with special rules
- fast artifact knowledge for alts, purchasable directly through order resources
Lastly, the difficulty of all “Heroic” and “Mythic” dungeons will be increased to match the new gear standard of players. This way, content that is currently too easy will become more challenging again.
Furthermore, Blizzard plans to release a smaller Patch 7.1.5 beforehand, you can read about the contents here.
