The chef Nomi from WoW will be better in the next patch. However, players will still be trolled.
If you want to level the cooking profession in the current expansion of WoW, you are dependent on Nomi’s help. Because only the Pandaren is able to create new recipes from meat and fish. At least in theory.
Nomi burns all materials
In World of Warcraft: Legion, there is currently hardly a better option to more accurately lead farmed cooking materials to complete uselessness than to hand them to Nomi. The Pandaren chef, who gets drunk while working, only very rarely manages to develop a new recipe from the materials entrusted to him. Almost always you only receive “Heavily Burned Food,” which sells for only a few silver.
But Blizzard has promised that Nomi would get better over the course of the expansion – and the developers seem to keep their word. Even if not in the way players expected! With the latest version of the test server, Nomi no longer produces “Heavily Burned Food,” but instead “Slightly Burned Food.” This is no longer a gray item but actually white and restores 1,400,000 health points over 20 seconds – without any additional effect.
Blizzard seems to be having quite a bit of fun with this, as the item features the yellow flavor text: “Burned Food: Rank 2”.
Whether Nomi will additionally output useful recipes more frequently with these changes, or if the gray trash is now just white trash (since nothing else is this food) remains to be seen for now. At least a step forward. Even if a very small one.
Cortyn says: Luckily I had to catch many fish for the artifact fishing rod, otherwise Nomi would have frustrated me many days ago. Honestly, what has that guy been doing since Mists of Pandaria? We surely didn’t teach him that back then.
