The dates for the new holidays in World of Warcraft are known. Mark them in your calendar now – because they are often only active for a few hours.
Patch 7.1.5 for World of Warcraft: Legion is packed with many class changes and improvements for Twinks, allowing them to gain Artifact Power faster. Another minor feature is the Micro-Holidays. These holidays are – unlike the major events – only active for one or a few days and do not offer special rewards. They are merely meant to fill the game world with a bit more life and provide more story to the various factions. Although Patch 7.1.5 is not yet live, Blizzard has already released all dates for the upcoming holidays:
- January 21 – 23: Call of the Scarab – Remembering the first opening of Ahn’Quiraj. Players can experience the event from back then in a smaller form. The faction that collects the most items will have their flag flying over the gates of Ahn’Quiraj for a year.
- February 23: The Great Hippogryph Hatching – Hippogryphs are hatching in Feralas. Those who participate may find a feathered friend for the rest of the day.
- April 5: March of the Tadpoles – The winterfin murlocs release their tadpoles – only the strongest survive! Or exactly those that the players help.
- April 28: Day of the Watchers – Take on the role of a guard for a day and ensure safety in the cities while the real guards take a break.
- May 10 – 12: Spring Balloon Festival – All over Azeroth there are flights with well-known NPCs who will show you the area and its history.
- May 27: Glowing Caps Festival – The Sporeggar in Zangarmarsh are celebrating a festival and need to heal the giant mushroom Fshoo for it.
- June 6 – 8: Dance of a Thousand Boats – There is a big boat party in Thousand Needles.
- August 10 – 12: Un’gorow Madness – The dinosaurs of Un’goro are running amok. Players must calm the dinos and will receive temporary evolution buffs for it.
Blizzard has already announced that there will be more Micro-Holidays. This is just the “first batch” to fill the time until summer. It is likely that there will be many more events in later patches (possibly 7.2.5 or 7.3.5).
However, even before Patch 7.1.5, the raid “Trial of Valor” was heavily nerfed.
