Mage
The Arcane specialization receives fine-tuning and visual enhancements. Fire Mages can rejoice as Ignite will now be distributed automatically. And the Frost path gains strong AoE damage.
Arcane – more mana and a lot of fine-tuning
Many adjustments will provide a bit of fine-tuning. Arcane Charges are no longer a debuff but are represented as a resource. However, this change is only visual, as the function remains similar. Additionally, the mana cost for Arcane Blast is reduced by Arcane Power instead of increased. Furthermore, mana is only a resource for you, your damage will no longer increase because of it. Mastery increases your maximum mana and its regeneration.
Fire – more critical hits through Combustion
You will gain better control over the Combustion mechanic. Combustion has been entirely reworked: It increases the critical strike chance by 100% and mastery by the value of critical strike. Ignite will no longer be spread by you, but will happen automatically. The debuff regularly spreads to enemies nearby.
Frost – enemy control and AoE damage
Frost remains effective in controlling enemies but deals relatively high AoE damage. Blizzard creates a field over which ice crystals rain for several seconds. This ability thus works similarly to those in Diablo. Additionally, Frostbolt has been removed; you now call down hail instead. This slows enemies and can also cause them to take damage as if they are frozen.
