The latest hotfix for World of Warcraft increases the drop rates of Nether Shards. But there are also significant changes for healers in PvP.
Shortly after the release of a new patch, small hotfixes are always pushed out for World of Warcraft to fix the most urgent bugs in the game. Yesterday, a hotfix was deployed on the American servers, which is also active for us starting today (04/01/2017). Collecting Nether Shards should now be easier, as the rare elite enemies at the Broken Shore now leave behind significantly more shards. The same applies to all enemies defeated “in the shadow of the Sentinax.”
Nether Shards serve as currency for the new faction “Legion Judge.” With it, players can purchase toys, buffs, and equipment. Farming is particularly worthwhile for second characters or backups, as the items have an item level that usually ranges between 850 and 870 – the perfect starting gear for tougher adventures.
In general, the Legion ship Sentinax has received several improvements that provide players with more clarity. A message will now appear when the Sentinax has finished recharging its energies. This way, it is obvious to all players when the Sentinax signals can be used again to create new portals. Additionally, a loud warning sound will play when a particularly powerful enemy leaves the Sentinax.
Healing in the arena will be weaker
For 2v2 arena matches, healing is drastically reduced. The “dampening” effect that occurs in arenas after a while starts with a 20% effect in the 2v2 matches right from the start. This is intended to reduce the duration of arena matches.
Finally, a bug was fixed that prevented mythic raiders from completing the “Ahead of the Curve: Gul’dan” achievement. This should remain attainable until the Tomb of Sargeras opens – so at least 11 weeks; the quest line to open the new raid is not fully accessible before that.
