The holiday events in WoW could soon become more interesting for Twinks.
In the meantime, there are so many different holiday events in World of Warcraft that one stumbles from one to another more frequently. Hardly is Brewfest over, and then the Hallow’s End is already here, followed by Pilgrim’s Bounty, closely pursued by Old Father Winter with his Winter Veil.
However, it is frustrating for many players that part of the activities is only designed for maximum level 110. For example, the Headless Horseman (Hallow’s End) can only be engaged at a high level. A large portion of players has only one character at max level and are just now slowly starting to level up second and third characters.
Since Blizzard introduced the scaling content system with Legion, Twitter user Naparachnid asked whether the events could scale as well. The response from Muffinus, better known as Jeremy Feasel, the Senior Game Designer of World of Warcraft, was prompt:
“A very nice idea, I love it!”
This is by no means a promise that this will be implemented in the future – certainly not in Patch 7.1. However, it’s worth keeping this statement in mind for future content updates. It would then be possible to farm special rewards, such as mounts, pets, or toys with multiple characters without having them at max level. More content for everyone.
Cortyn says: While I am generally against expanding the scaling technology to all areas of the game, I believe in the case of holiday events, it is a good idea. When I think back to “my first leveling time,” events like the Moon Festival were something very special, where I often wished I could experience more than was possible at the time. Bring it on!
