The hidden appearance of the Frost Death Knight weapon in WoW frustrates players so much that Blizzard has now revealed where to find it.
Since the release of the “Legion” expansion of World of Warcraft, players have been hunting for the different designs of the artifact weapons. Each weapon – that is, each specialization of all classes – has a hidden design that can be obtained somewhere in the game world. All hidden skins have now appeared, with one single exception: Frost Death Knights.
The hidden skin of the artifact weapon has driven some players to desperate actions. From planting all flower pots in Dalaran in different combinations to camping specific spots 24/7. Since there had been no indication of how to obtain the hidden design, fans pleaded for redemption – and Blizzard responded in the official forum:
“Many of you have asked about the hidden appearance variant of the Frost Death Knight. We tried not to reveal too much in terms of spoilers, but since it is now the last one that still needs to be discovered, we decided to give you a hint. This appearance variant is tied to a specific world boss that has not spawned yet. Once this boss is available, we suspect that the appearance variant will be discovered very quickly.”
For many players, this information was a relief, as they can now temporarily halt their search. However, other players complained because this means that the alternate skin can only be obtained every 10 weeks (it takes this long for all world bosses to rotate) – with a drop chance that has not yet been disclosed. It seems that Frost Death Knights will still have to be patient.
