We tell you how to obtain the hidden artifact weapon skins for Rogues in World of Warcraft.
In World of Warcraft: Legion, the artifact weapons not only have many different designs but also a few hidden skins – each specialization has its own. We will tell you where to get the special skins for the three specs of Rogues.
Assassination – Bonebreaker
The Assassination Rogues must first ensure that their artifact knowledge level is at least level 4. Then they head to the Shadow Side of Dalaran (the sewers) and participate in fights against the rare enemies that appear there at regular intervals. All “rarespawns” have a small chance to leave behind the Cipher of the Broken Bones – using the item unlocks the hidden skin.
Outlaw – Thunderstrike, Blessed Blade of the Windlord
Outlaw Rogues also need to build their artifact knowledge level and must reach at least level 5 here. Then they can expect long farming evenings and repeatedly visit The Vault of the Wardens and Neltharion’s Lair. The bosses “Ash’Golm” and “Dargrul the Underking” both have a small chance to drop the left and right halves of the Bracers of the Windseeker. Once you have both halves, grab 10 Infernal Sulphets from the auction house and travel to Stormheim. Visit the Storm Dragons at their peak and start the quest – shortly after, the Windseeker appears and gives you your just rewards.
Subtlety – Venomstrike
Subtlety Rogues must complete the old scenario “Throne of Thunder” in Pandaria. However, the access is different than before. It is necessary to research the upgrade “The Vault” in the order hall to gain access to various treasures in the hall. Whenever you submit a vault ticket (through order missions) or one of Marin Noggenfogger’s Lucky Coins (through pickpocketing) to Marin, you gain access to an item in the vault.
Occasionally, you have the chance to take a keyring from one of the stone pillars. This contains one or more “Keys to the Palace of Lei Shen”. After that, talk to Taoshi in the order hall and tell her you are “ready” – the scenario will then start (and one key will be consumed).
Within the scenario, you must now open as many chests as possible and collect treasures. Particularly important are the “Burial Tokens“, which are harder to find. Once the time has run out, you can use all Burial Tokens to open the final reward chests – any of these chests may contain the secret skin.
