Farm reputation faster with the Faire
With the launch of the latest expansion “Legion”, much in World of Warcraft currently revolves around quick leveling. After that, it is time to farm reputation with various factions to quickly obtain the coveted rewards in the form of gear, toys, or achievements. The launch of Legion coincidentally matched another date that many players currently may not be aware of: The Darkmoon Faire is back! Since last Sunday, the island has been accessible and will be available until next Saturday (09/10/2016). But what does this mean for you?
At the Faire, there are several opportunities to pick up a buff, which increases both the experience gained and the reputation earned from quests by a whopping 10%. A quest that normally gives “only” 1500 reputation thus yields 1650 reputation, effectively saving you 2 smaller missions.
How do you get the buff?
You can obtain the buff in two different ways. The easiest option is the carousel. First, you buy a ticket from the Pandaren and then ride on the carousel for a few seconds. The buff builds up in 5-minute intervals to a maximum of one hour.
If you don’t want to run back to the Faire every hour, you can purchase the “Darkmoon Top Hat” from Gelvas the Bearded for 10 winning tickets each. This allows you to activate the buff at the push of a button anywhere in the world. The hat can also be found in various reward boxes of the Faire. But be careful: don’t buy too many hats, as they will be removed from your inventory once the Faire ends. So plan ahead how many you want to use. Additionally, the buff ends if you should die!
Another note: The profession quests of the Faire have also become interesting again, as you can easily gain some skill points in various professions. Usually, the time spent is under 5 minutes for 5 skill points.
