The Companion App for World of Warcraft: Legion is released today. We reveal what the software can do.
Keep an eye on order halls and world quests
Since Blizzard has realized that we gamers can’t be at the computer 24/7, no matter how much we sometimes wish we could, the developers have now launched an app that should work on most Android and iOS devices – the app will be released today (09/06/2016)!
The “Legion Companion App” is truly beneficial only if you have purchased the current expansion “Legion,” as all features relate to the new content of the game.
What can you do with the app?
The app’s functions mainly focus on all activities that can be completed in the order halls. This includes the following features:
- Followers and champions can be sent on missions and these can be completed.
- Any rewards will be added to your character’s inventory.
- Upgrade levels of the order hall can be explored.
- The equipment of the champions can be modified.
- New troops can be recruited.
The various functions obviously require the corresponding amount of order hall resources to be executed.
Additionally, once your character reaches level 110, the world map can be accessed to display current world quests. There, rewards are shown, as well as how long a quest will still be available. For those with a tight schedule, this makes it easy to plan short gaming sessions so that important rewards do not expire.
By the way: The app cannot be used simultaneously with the game. It is not possible to manage the order hall while also being in the game world with your character. Only one service (game or app) can access the account at a time.
