The Alpha of World of Warcraft: Legion has been updated. The first two zones of the addon can now be explored.
Highmountain and Stormheim beckon!
For a few weeks now, the first alpha version of World of Warcraft: Legion has started. So far, there has been little to see there, basically just the first half of the starting area of the Demon Hunter. A few days ago, the server was updated with the latest version of the game, which now allows access to the two zones of Highmountain and Stormheim!
A large part of the Vrykul lore takes place in Stormheim. Here you will find not only the dungeon “Halls of Valor”, which is practically WoW’s counterpart to the Nordic Valhalla, but also a lot of background information on the Valkyr, who are among other things responsible for the current immortality of Sylvanas Windrunner.
In Highmountain, a splinter faction of the Tauren has settled, which can be recognized by their rather oddly-shaped antlers. Dragon fans might also get their money’s worth, as Neltharion (better known as Deathwing) once lingered here during his time as the Aspect of Earth and its guardian. What secrets await in Highmountain and whether Furorion will have something to say there will surely be revealed in the coming days.
The lucky players with access to the alpha can now also create pre-made level 100 characters, but their options are still somewhat limited. For example, not all specs are available yet and not all talents are already functional in the game.
In the new zones, you can also see for the first time the new draw distance, which allows players to see significantly farther into the distance.
