This leads to frustration and accusations of “Pay2Win.” While it is possible to earn gold through gameplay, it is much faster with a few euros.
What will change? With patch 9.2.5, Blizzard will dramatically simplify the crafting of legendary items – or at least the path you have to take for it. Until now, it was necessary to skill every slot meticulously and to craft up to 45 items in order to ultimately create the final rank of a legendary item.
With patch 9.2.5, Blizzard increases the experience gained in every crafting process by a whopping 400%. This means that you will only need to craft 3 items per rank instead of 15.
What does this mean in plain language? The changes will primarily ensure that it will be significantly easier for players to equip themselves or their guildmates and friends with legendary items. Instead of crafting 45 “useless” items, only 9 will need to be produced in the future. The resources invested are significantly lower, and thus the financial effort to level the corresponding professions to the maximum is also reduced.
However, the materials required to produce the final product will not decrease – only the path to get there is drastically made easier. This is certainly a good thing for self-sufficient players and completionists.
However, there is still no release date for patch 9.2.5.
What do you think about the change? Will you craft the legendary items after all? Or is the whole thing still too expensive for you?
Crafting legendary items in World of Warcraft is costly – that is about to change. Crafters will have it much easier soon.
Legendary items in World of Warcraft are essential. At item level 291, two of them are often seen as prerequisites to even be included in dungeons and raids. Crafting them is quite expensive, not only because the materials cost a lot, but also because players often have to pay for the hundreds of thousands of gold pieces that the maker invested in leveling their profession. That is likely to change soon.
What is the problem? Legendary items are essential because they not only have a high item level but also define the playstyle of many classes and provide a significant performance boost. However, the necessary items are often extremely expensive – depending on the realm, you can pay up to 100,000 gold for an item at level 291, and sometimes even more.
For many players, the solution is clear: selling a WoW token and thus practically buying items for real money.
This leads to frustration and accusations of “Pay2Win.” While it is possible to earn gold through gameplay, it is much faster with a few euros.
