The Legendaries in World of Warcraft will become even more powerful. You can already guess how this works.
On the test server, the PTR, Blizzard is currently testing the next patch of World of Warcraft. This carries version number 7.3.2 and is much smaller than the major content patches or even the small “x.5” updates. However, it will still receive some updates to keep the item spiral in Azeroth (and on Argus) going.
Antorus brings item level 1000
With the opening of the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne, the maximum item level of players will rise once again. This particularly affects the legendary items, which are meant to be at the very top until the end of the expansion.
So that the legendary items are not overshadowed by regular loot, the item level must rise again – this is possible with the opening of Antorus. With the Awoken Titan Essence (“Awoken Titan Essence”), the item level of a Legendary can be directly catapulted to level 1000, regardless of the item’s previous item level.
Even now, early data suggests that the system from previous patches will simply be adopted 1:1. This would mean:
- Players need to collect 50 essences for each upgrade. These can be found in Antorus, from emissary chests, the first heroic dungeon per day, and the weekly PvP quest, or Mythic reward chest.
- With the opening of Antorus, all “new” Legendaries will immediately have an item level of 1000 – so they won’t have to farm.
So far, this is mostly speculation – however, there are no indications that Blizzard will deviate from this system.
With patch 7.3.2, there are also some really crazy trinkets – they only work against a single boss!
