The orange items from World of Warcraft are being revised once again. Basically, there are a few nice buffs.
The discussion around the legendary items in World of Warcraft seems to have no end. Especially the disparity in power between what players consider “the best” Legendary for their class and the more “normal” Legendaries is still a thorn in the side of the community.
An official game designer has now spoken up in the forum and revealed some plans for the future of Legendaries. Accordingly, there will be some changes in an upcoming version of Patch 7.2 on the PTR to further balance the power of the items.
- Legendary items that have a bonus that does not directly increase damage or healing will receive such an effect. As an example, he mentioned “Promises of Elune, the moon goddess,” the legendary druid shoes that enhance a healing effect. As an additional bonus, they will soon increase the damage of some abilities.
- Other Legendaries, such as “Belo’vir’s last stand”, a robe for mages, will receive additional secondary stats, as that makes more sense. They don’t want “Blink” to suddenly become a damage cooldown, so they simply give the item around 650 additional points in a secondary stat.
- Besides that, they also aim to continue bringing the power of Legendaries more “in line” in the future, so there are no large differences in effectiveness. Every player should feel in their first two Legendaries that they have made an important progress in character development.
The efforts towards this will continue even after Patch 7.2.
