In World of Warcraft, a strong boost will soon begin, which will particularly help endgame fans. The item level increases, and with it, the power of the characters.
What is better than the strongest items in the game? Of course – even better items! This is exactly what World of Warcraft seems to have set as a goal. For the first time in the history of the game, there is a “Turbo Boost” event, where the loot rules are revised and maximized. You will not only receive stronger items but can also purchase targeted loot through Dinare without relying on luck.
When does the event start? The Turbo Boost begins after the maintenance on May 14, 2025, so already next week. From then on, you can benefit from many innovations.
The Turbo Boost will likely remain active until the end of the second season.
What changes? Overall, there are mainly four major changes:
Weekly quests for confusing tokens: Every week, you will receive a quest requiring you to defeat 4 bosses from the Liberation of Lorenhall to obtain the tokens. Upon first completion of this quest, you will receive 3 fragments (which make one token), and all further weekly quests will grant 1 fragment. This way, you will receive an additional token in week 4 and week 7.
The tokens can be exchanged for any loot from the heroic raid Liberation of Lorenhall. If you also defeat the bosses on Mythic, then you can select Mythic loot as well.
Crafted gear becomes stronger: Also new is that crafted gear can receive an additional 6 item levels. To do this, you must rework already crafted gear and equip it with a reinforcement matrix. You can purchase this from the enchanting goods vendor. The item level will thus increase to a maximum of 681.
Hero and Mythic items become stronger: The best items in the game will get a little better. Because these items will receive two additional upgrade levels, allowing you to enhance the best items even further. You will need the corresponding emblems for this, but acquiring them is no problem: because the cap has been lifted, you can collect as many tokens as you want.
The depths are strengthened: The depths will also receive some innovations, as some depths will soon be “overloaded”. There will be new challenges, such as additional traps or minibosses, but also new equipment that you can improve a little each week to be able to use new abilities in the depths.
What do you think of this type of event? A cool thing to revitalize WoW in the middle of the season and encourage players to tackle tougher content? Or is it rather a shame that one can only achieve full strength late in a season?
Meanwhile, one thing in WoW is really annoying…
