Data miners have been hard at work extracting new details from the game data of World of Warcraft. Three new war fronts are likely to be coming!
Currently, there is only one war front in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, the Battle for Stromgarde. However, this is sure to change during the expansion. Data miners have now found hints of three more war fronts! Because, with the help of a macro command, World of Warcraft is already hinting at these war fronts.
Spoiler warning: If you do not want to know which areas could soon be contested or possibly change ownership, do not continue reading.
Which war fronts have been found? In total, three war fronts have been discovered. The hints are written from the Alliance’s perspective.
- Southern Barrens: “Attack the Southern Barrens and break through the great gate of Mulgore!”
- Silvermoon: “Attack the last bastion of the Horde in the Eastern Kingdoms and cleanse the land of this scum!”
- Azshara: “Launch a massive naval assault on the home of Gallywix. Bilgewater will burn.”
Finally a rework for the Ghostlands? Especially the war front around Silvermoon has excited many fans. For nearly a decade, players have wished for a technological update for the Ghostlands and Silvermoon. For example, you still cannot fly there, and many quests still function based on the “old” system.
Is the Horde about to lose another city? With the Battle for Silvermoon, there is also the possibility that the Horde will lose another capital. If that happens, the Horde would no longer have a significant stronghold in the Eastern Kingdoms. The factions would then be largely separated by continents.
Please keep in mind that this information has not yet been confirmed and there is no guarantee. It is possible that Blizzard may scrap individual war fronts or that this data may just be unused remnants. Furthermore, it is strange that all war fronts are only Alliance attacks. Perhaps some of the Horde’s fronts are still missing.
Are you looking forward to more war fronts that are also anchored in the story? Or have you had enough of the feature after the Battle for Stromgarde?
