Farming the Vault Keys of Zskera in World of Warcraft can be exhausting. We reveal how to do it the fastest.
One of the new features of Patch 10.0.7 are the Vaults of Zskera. There are a lot of treasures to loot each week and numerous secrets to decipher. However, to get the maximum progression from the Vaults, you need plenty of “Vault Keys of Zskera,” which you must farm beforehand. We will tell you which methods work best for that.
How many keys are needed? As of now, you need 28 to 30 keys per week. This can vary a bit, as sometimes a gate can be opened without a key. However, if you have 30 or more keys at the start of a new WoW week (Wednesday), you are on the safe side and should be able to open all chambers immediately.
Method 1: Farming Rare Mobs
The most efficient method by far is to join a group and hit the various rare enemies on the Forbidden Island. Active Rare Mobs will be marked prominently on your world map, so there should be no difficulties in quickly finding a new one over and over.
The Rare Mobs drop not only keys but also large amounts of Elemental Overflow. You can exchange 2,000 in Morqut with Daela for a “Bag of Curiosities,” which also has about a 30% chance for a key.
By the way, you can defeat the rare enemies more than once a day. They won’t be shown on the map anymore and are just regular elite enemies in the interface, but they can still drop Vault Keys of Zskera.
Method 2: Collecting Treasures
The second method is collecting small treasures. Everywhere on the Forbidden Island, there are different kinds of treasure chests. These can be actual chests, but also piles of bones or bird nests. These treasures contain a key of the Vault of Zskera about 15% of the time. While the chance is lower than with the rare enemies, collecting treasures can be easily done solo.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to fly around with eagle eyes and pay attention to small details. Travel to the village of Morqut and speak with Daela at the mission table. She sells the “Scroll of Perception” for 2,000 Elemental Overflow. When used, all treasures nearby will be shown on the minimap for 60 minutes.
Then you just have to fly over the island, glide from treasure to treasure, and within the hour, you will surely collect 20 or more keys.
Also look out for the “Forbidden Chest,” which spawns about every 30 minutes and is guarded by two to three elite enemies. Usually, all players rush there, so it’s quite easy to open it.
Finally, it should be mentioned that all creatures on the Forbidden Island have a small chance to drop a key – including regular and elite enemies. However, the chance here is significantly smaller than with treasures.
Sending Keys to Twinks
By the way, the Vault Keys of Zskera are bound to your account and not to the individual character. This means that you can simply send the keys to a second character if your main character already has enough. Alternatively, you can also farm the keys in advance so that you always have enough in the coming weeks.
