The latest patch of the Shadowlands beta for WoW was probably the last. The expansion seems to be complete now.
The beta of the upcoming WoW expansion Shadowlands is coming to an end. The latest update clearly indicates that Blizzard is almost done with development. Thus, nothing should stand in the way of a release in a few weeks – or?
What happened? Yesterday, the Shadowlands beta received a new patch. Particularly noteworthy is that patch version 9.0.2 is now marked as “Release Candidate” in the launcher. This means that this version of the patch is considered “finished” by Blizzard’s side and will be released to players unless major bugs are found. If larger bugs or issues are still discovered, there will surely be another update.
So it seems that Blizzard is now on schedule and nothing stands in the way of a release of Shadowlands on November 24.
This is what players say: In the comments on Reddit and wowhead players are rather skeptical. They find it “ambitious” that Blizzard considers Shadowlands ready for release. Some classes and specializations are still complaining about bugs or balance issues.
Usually, Blizzard is quite good at quickly pushing out hotfixes and patches when acute problems arise. In the first days after the release of a new expansion, it is quite normal that minor fixes are rolled out every few hours.
Are you active in the beta and do you think that Blizzard is ready for release? Or should Shadowlands have been postponed a few more weeks?
