If you enjoy leveling through World of Warcraft Island Expeditions, you can be happy. Because soon there will be solid equipment for that.
Patch 8.1.5 of World of Warcraft is currently on the PTR and is regularly getting new features. One of them concerns Island Expeditions. They will be able to grant solid loot in the future. This will make leveling through Island Expeditions alone easier and help you not to fall behind.
How can you get the equipment? You can buy the equipment through equipment badges for 20 Doubloons each at the Doubloon vendor. You can find them directly across from the registration desk in Boralus (Alliance) or Dazar’alor (Horde).
Equipment at quest level: The item level of the equipment scales with the player’s level, but is always between item level 214 (level 111) and item level 282 (level 120). Additionally, upgrades to rare or epic are also possible, which slightly raises the item level. This corresponds to the level of typical quest equipment and thus offers an alternative way to gear up aside from questing.
Why is this being introduced? Many players use the Island Expeditions to quickly level their characters from level 110 to 120. With the short waiting times and the large XP benefit, Island Expeditions are one of the fastest leveling methods and are also suitable when you have little time. After all, individual expeditions only last between 5 and 10 minutes.
Players recommend saving Doubloons: Many players consider these equipment badges a waste and believe that it’s better to save the Doubloons to buy mounts and pets. After all, you would almost immediately replace the equipment with world quests at level 120.
Keep in mind that the equipment is currently only available on the PTR. Prices may change before the patch’s release.
