In World of Warcraft, a major reset of an important currency is coming soon. It will then only be worth a few silver. Those who can should invest it wisely.
In World of Warcraft, players can buy numerous useful items with Titan Residuum. Some players also save the currency to prepare for the next patch. However, Blizzard is now putting a stop to this, as Titan Residuum will be reset.
Why is Titan Residuum important? With Titan Residuum, players can buy the best Azerite armor in the game directly, without relying on drop luck. Residuum is gained by breaking down Azerite armor at the scrapper in Dazar’alor or Boralus.
Why is Blizzard doing this? There are two reasons for the reset. First, Blizzard apparently does not want players to farm so much in advance that they can buy the best equipment right at the start of the season.
Secondly, Blizzard wants to shrink the values for Titan Residuum. The costs for Azerite items and the gain of Residuum are to be reduced, so that the numbers are smaller again. Apart from that, Titan Residuum will still function exactly the same in Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth .
What will happen to Titan Residuum? Blizzard has announced that Titan Residuum will be converted to silver at the start of Season 4. The exchange rate is not exactly known, but an exchange of 1:1 seems realistic, as some players have accumulated several million Titan Residuum. For every 100 Residuum, there would then be one gold piece.
When is the reset happening? The reset is supposed to take place with the start of Season 4. This will likely happen shortly after the launch of Patch 8.3, which does not yet have a release date. However, a date around mid-December is suspected, so that the new raid Ny’alotha can start after the holiday season in January.
