Rare loot in World of Warcraft will soon be significantly faster to obtain. But only during an event that increases drop chances.
There are items that are extremely sought after in World of Warcraft. Some of them are already over 20 years old, but still serve as coveted transmog or great gear for alts. However, farming this gear can be quite time-consuming. A new event is supposed to speed that up and bring more loot luck across Azeroth.
What kind of event is this? The event “A Greedy Envoy” was already present during the Dragonflight expansion, but it is coming back in a modified form. This time, the event will impact the entire “classic” game world, as they want to significantly increase the drop chance of rare loot. Blizzard states that there is “a collection chance boost [that] helps you in your hunt for classic loot by increasing the drop chances for this loot across Azeroth.”
Which loot is affected? This is not yet known. There is only talk of “classic loot” whose drop chances will be increased across Azeroth. It remains to be seen whether this also applies to dungeons and raids or just to enemies in the open world.
What else is there at the event? In addition to increasing the loot chance, there will also be the “greedy envoys” appearing at fixed intervals in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, and Darnassus. They will carry new loot, including a new color variant of the HD version of the Tier-2 set. Particularly, the red set for Paladins is a real eye-catcher, but collectors should not miss out on the other sets either.
However, it will still be a little while until that happens. The event will not start until the course of Patch 11.1.7 – which will probably not appear until mid or late June. This will also coincide with a new healing spell for all classes!
