While New World is currently experiencing a hype, things are rather bleak for WoW. The game is receiving hardly any new updates, which is leading to discontent. What else has happened this week in the MMORPGs, we at MeinMMO have summarized for you.
The highlights of the week: In New World, the new patch 1.0.4 has been deployed. It arrived a day later than expected, causing confusion. Additionally, it brought bugs with it, causing players to not receive any gold when selling at the trading post while they were offline.
Despite everything, New World remains the most dominant MMORPG. It also made headlines this week with a Hungarian Twitch streamer who was banned, and the fact that players are currently turning cities into casinos.
This week’s controversy: Kingdom Under Fire 2 has been discontinued. Some fans of the game hold the German publisher partly responsible for the downfall of the MMO.
This week’s discussion: WoW has received only 3 real content patches in the last 2 years. The last updates were patch 8.3 in January 2020, the release of Shadowlands in November 2020, and patch 9.1 in June 2021. Many players find this insufficient. Do you feel the same?

- Final Fantasy XIV is now taking stronger action against raidselling and harassment.
- In ESO, everything is currently preparing for the release of the DLC Deadlands, which will be released on November 1.
