Farming reputation is not for everyone in World of Warcraft. But one player has ‘pulled through’ – and probably holds one of the most valuable accounts ever.
Collecting reputation is one of the more controversial features in World of Warcraft. Some hate the ‘grind’ and can’t stand filling bars anymore. Others, however, love farming reputation and can never get enough of raising more factions to the maximum reputation level ‘exalted’.
But one player seems to overshadow them all. Because the Pandaren ‘Hiyorin’ is exalted – and that with all factions where it’s possible.
What happened? In the World of Warcraft subreddit, the Pandaren ‘Hiyorin’ proudly shared a screenshot. This shows the reputation window of the mage – or rather the many, many pages of the reputation window. And there is a lot of green to see. Because Hiyorin is exalted with all factions or the corresponding equivalent (like ‘Best Friend’). An achievement that must have taken several thousand hours.
Which factions are missing? If you look closely, you will notice that some factions in the list are not exalted. These are the ‘Wildheart Tribe’ (WotLK), ‘The Sha’tari’ (Burning Crusade), and ‘The Syndicate’ (Vanilla). These factions cannot be brought to exalted or are mutually exclusive with another faction. Because if you have reputation with ‘The Aldor’, you cannot simultaneously be exalted with the Sha’tari. The same goes for ‘The Oracles’, which automatically lead to a bad reputation with the ‘Wildheart Tribe’.
Not in the list are, by the way, the ‘Shen’dralar’ and the first ‘Zandalari’, which existed back in Vanilla. Both factions were later removed and cannot therefore be reached by a Pandaren.
A clever commentator also noticed that one faction is not appearing for Hiyorin, namely the ‘Revenge of the Claw’. This is a PvP faction in Legion that you have to unlock somewhat awkwardly. Hiyorin wants to ‘get to it next week’ to also bring the reputation faction to exalted. That should go relatively quickly.
This is how the community reacts: The community is somewhere between excited and shocked. They recognize the achievement but also find it a bit frightening. There are just under 11,000 upvotes for the picture. Here are some comments:
- “If I were them, I’d never be able to touch another character again.”
- “‘The Crazy’ is definitely the fitting title for someone who has done this.”
- “Another lunatic who has farmed both the Bloodsail Buccaneers and Goblins to exalted.”
- “How do you kill what has no life?”
What do you think of this achievement? Pretty impressive and admirable? Or a clear waste of time?
